FINEGIFTS Posted December 5, 2002 Share Posted December 5, 2002 i would like to move my images to folders by catagoy name how do i do that ? for instance the catagoie dvd has a folder with all the images in it and computer stuff has images in it.... well i am wanting to do the same thing but eveytime i link to the picture in the folder it puts it in the images folder and i delete the one in there and it shows up as red X and will not pick it up in the approriate folder? Use phpMyAdmin on table products, to change the path-names in field products_image. FINEGIFTS Posted December 5, 2002 Author Share Posted December 5, 2002 ok just to be sure about this this is what i do right Step 1 . upload all the pictures to the appropriate folders. step 2 . go into phpmyadmin in the products_image table step 3 . link to the images now when i did this the file name was just a picture file no path to do i need to include the full path to the file for eg. c:httpdhtdocscatalogimagescatagorie_of_picturefilenae.jpg right or can you explain better i downloaded the odbc thing i am going to thumb thru it just in case it dont have this i am posting this message. Change field products_image in table products to: main_cat/sub_cat/29115.jpg Note: the image-folder path is allready defined in configure.php, so the above actually points to: http://www.yourdomaine.com/catalog/images/...b_cat/29115.jpg. FINEGIFTS Posted December 5, 2002 Author Share Posted December 5, 2002 lol i thought i had it going but now this is becoming more than i thought when i add a new product to the thing it puts it right into the images folder again so now i have 2x the pictures on my server when i browse the folder and select the image is there a way to make it stay in the folder and not go anywere else? if you know what i mean "If it is not broke Don't fix it/ If it is then fix it good the first time and you never have to fix it again."
