New Products Currency Symbol

I'm having some issues with a site I'm developing up. For some reason, any of the "New Products" boxes won't show the £ currency symbol - instead they just display a ? question mark. The site in question is located at http://quadrant.barrett-systems.co.uk . All other pages that use the currency symbol display correctly, just not the New Products box.

None of the pages show the pound sign for me?

That may help.

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.

Appears to have worked perfectly (^-^). Any idea what causes this issue - i.e. why you can't use the £ symbol but instead have to put £ ?

Thanks again

Just guessing, I'd say it has to do with whatever page encoding we're running.

I'd also hazard a guess that when using any "special characters" (anything not A thru Z [upper/lower case] and not numeric [0 thru 9] and not punctuation [period, comma, etc.]) will show up more reliably across a wider variety of browsers if you use the HTML equivilant of said "special character".

Since the "pound sign" isn't A thru Z, isn't numeric, and isn't punctuation, it falls into the "special charcter" category (in my book, on "this side of the pond" ;) )

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.

I guess that last link proves I'm a rotten guesser!

As Bugs Bunny so aptly put it, "Tanks a lot, Doc!"

:D
