Informal Poll - Reliable Hosting service

Hi All,

 

Need the collective wisdom of this group, I have an oscommerce website hosted with chihosts.com and I have recently been getting extremely poor uptimes, the server has gone down twice in the past two days for 8 hours at a time and all they tell me is that I am on a shared server so that's the way it goes.

 

What are some of the more reliable hosting services out there?

 

I have been looking at

 

HostingMonster.com

bluehost.com

LunarPages.com

SiteGround.com

 

but cannot really cut through the hype and figure out who is the most reliable, can people share their expereinces? I am amazed that it has been so hard to find a provider who is reliable.
