Trouble with checkout - Customer can't select shipping option

Hello group,

 

My store is 99% Australian customer based but I have just had a US customer try to complete checkout but he could not get any options to select a payment method when completeing checkout.

 

I had a German customer several months ago and he experienced the same or similar problem and gave up and we just did a 'manual' order through email.

 

I did a dummy transaction myself to check it all out and there is no problem proving that works for my own details and other Aussie customers have had no problems either.

 

So what could the reason be for there to be no payment options displayed in checkout for International customers?
