Himself Posted December 4, 2002 Posted December 4, 2002 I'd like to be able to allow users to select a pick up point, rather than have things delivered to their home address. The idea is..... 1. Client orders and selects a collection point from a list of, say, 10 round the country (a small country ;-) ) 2. We despatch to that collection point. 3. Client picks up the order. Is there a module, attachment or method for doing this? Any suggestions welcome, my php is ok ish, but I've lots to learn.
Guest Posted December 4, 2002 Posted December 4, 2002 Hi I ran once on that module by mattice that I never tried but it might help http://www.oscommerce.com/downloads.php/co...ions,687/type,2
Himself Posted December 4, 2002 Author Posted December 4, 2002 Wow, that would be it then. Thanks muchly.
mattice Posted December 4, 2002 Posted December 4, 2002 Not really I'm afraid as it does not check for anything... nor does it support multiple 'pickup points' I could order at your shop from the Netherlands and have it delivered at pickup point X... You can create the pickup points by renaming the module though, so you have pickup_1.php / pickup_2.php etc. Hth, Mattice "Politics is the art of preventing people from taking part in affairs which properly concern them"
Himself Posted December 4, 2002 Author Posted December 4, 2002 Its a good start, that pointer has enabled me to understand how this works anyway. I was anticipating having to write a lot of code, but less so now. Thanks very much
mattice Posted December 4, 2002 Posted December 4, 2002 Ok, if I say rename the module I mean EVERYTHING.. also in the module php file itself. Just do a search-replace in it. Remember the module name is used case sensitive, there are CAPS instances as well. Don't forget to adapt the language files ... :D "Politics is the art of preventing people from taking part in affairs which properly concern them"
