joshrowe
Hi, I'm installing OsCommerce for the first time. When I try to hit http://[my-server]/catalog/install/ I'm getting the following error: --8<----8<----8<----8<----8<----8<----8<----8<----8<-- Warning: main(includes/functions/general.php) [function.main]: failed to create stream: No such file or directory in /[snip-snip]/public_html/catalog/install/includes/application.php on line 28 Fatal error: Failed opening required 'includes/functions/general.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /[snip-snip]/public_html/catalog/install/includes/application.php on line 28 --8<----8<----8<----8<----8<----8<----8<----8<----8<-- My includes directory doesn't have an application.php ... /public_html/catalog/includes> ls CVS/ column_right.php* functions/ application_bottom.php* configure.php general.js application_top.php* configure.php-dist header.php* boxes/ counter.php* languages/ classes/ footer.php* local/ column_left.php* form_check.js.php modules/ /public_html/catalog/includes> I downloaded the Dec 1 version 2.2 snapshot. Is the application.php file missing or have I missed a step in the installation process? Cheers Josh

Jan0815
The file is called application_top.php I would guess that you have somehow mixed up the file name definitions in that very file. Use a fresh (as in unchanged) version of the application_top.php and try again. HTH You can't have everything.
