Category Pages Displayed Messed Up

I am unsure how to describe what is going on. I had a person contact me requesting help on there OSCom site that has messed up. Here is what they quoted to me.

 

 

While in "admin" I was adding two new categories; "bottles" & "salt and pepper shakers".

I come to realize that on the "home" page these categories were listed above the "trivets" category which I didn't want.

 

So I deleted the two categories.

 

The result however, we just come to realize is:

1) The trivets "summary page' is fine.

2) When you click onto a trivet sub category there appears mulitple images of the same trivet. This happens in various approaches to listing a sub category.

3) If you go to the categories and select "all products" and select a single trivet the result is as it should be.

4) If you select the "accessories" category; instead of getting an accessory the multiple images of trivets appears.

This page is showing everything fine, but if you click on any sub categories you will see the problem. Lets use "Americana" for example.

There are 6 items in this sub category, but when you click on it, it will display the 6 items with the wrong image, and it shows there is a total of 738 items.

 

I am stuck trying to figure this out and this is the worse time of the year for them to have problems like this. Any help or suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
