jamie1183 Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 I have now noticed a second issue. When you first login to the website it shows fine eg. http://www.shymoonmedia.com. but when you click on a page it remves the www. so shows as http:shymoonmedia.com Is there a way of stopping this.
jonquil Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 Works just fine as is. Did you figure something out? jon It's all just ones and zeros....
jamie1183 Posted December 17, 2007 Author Posted December 17, 2007 Nope maybe it is just a firefox thing. I'll check it in explorer. It loads fine but changes the domain name from http://www.shymoonmedia.com to http://shymoonmedia.com when you say click on a product
germ Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 You could try adding the "www" part to your URL in your config files. If it works - Great! If it doesn't - take it back out. Personally, I think you're "picking fly crap out of pepper", as the old axiom goes... If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you. jamie1183 Posted December 17, 2007 Author Posted December 17, 2007 lol thanks for that, I'll try adding it to the config file, although that brings back bad memories of another job i did.
jonquil Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 I think what Germ is trying to point out is that it doesn't matter if your links point to http:// or http://www. As long as the pointers are defined both ways, the job gets done no matter what. You probably have www in one of your configure links and not another. It won't affect the functionality of your store. jon It's all just ones and zeros....
germ Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 Yes. I wasn't trying to be rude, crude, or obnoxious. Slightly comedic...Well... Guilty as charged! I'm anal about a lot of things. The URL in the browser address bar just isn't one of them (as long as it works)! If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
