Guest Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 (edited) Hi there, Somehow we may have messed up the PayPal module. I click "install" and the page relaods, but it always comes back showing only the install option. i.e. we cannot edit any PayPal paramaters. Do we need to reinstall this module? If so, how would one go about doing this? TIA for any ideas! Edited December 17, 2007 by CanAmSat Quote

You may have already tried this, but if not give it a go and see if it fixes the problem... And if that doesn't work... This reminds me of a problem that I had quite awhile ago, and if I remember rightly, all I had to do was rename the paypal.php files (one located in includes/modules/payment/ folder, and the other in the includes/languages/english/modules/payment folder. Then reload your payment module page and try installing again. As I said it was awhile ago, so please backup before trying this. Hope this helps... Quote

Guest Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Thank you, LeViSioN. Will give it a whirl and post back.BTW, Happy Holidays to all and may the New Year bring you all peace, good health and prosperity. Sincerely, CanAmSat. WEll, finally got around to trying to fix this issue after the Holidays. Here's what I tried: -Downloaded oscommerce 2.2rc1 -decompressed all folders/files into a folder -renamed paypal.php to paypal1.php on the server in both modules (one located in includes/modules/payment/ folder, and the other in the includes/languages/english/modules/payment folder) -uploaded the entire payment folder from my computer to the server (both locations as above) -overwrote the existing files when prompted Now I have paypal.php (and of course paypal1.php) in both the modules, and when I go into the admin CP, there is nothing showing in the payment module. Shipping and Order Total are there, no problem. I have cleared my browsing history and cookies, and still nothing shows up. Any other ideas welcome. TIA for any suggestions! Quote
Guest Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Anyone have any ideas? Should I just reinstall oscommerce from scratch? If so is there a way to do this without losing the 50 or so products and images already uploaded? Thanks for any replies. Quote
Guest Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Well, I guess searching the right keywords helps!! I will follow suggestions in this thread: http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?sho...20&start=20 ;) Quote
