mafixit Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 New to all this. Installed the catalog folder in my public_html folder as instructed. All folder permissions are set to 755. When I go to http://www.mydomain.com/catalog/install, I get a 500 Internal Server Error with this message: The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request. The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log. My hosting service supports OScommerce, so I know it will work here. I just can't find the answer as to why I can't install. Thanks in advance. Karen

The only way to really know is to check the server logs. It's a generic 'er, I don;t know what to do' message. You'll have to ask your ISP, even if they do run OSCommerce.
