no database table prefix on oscommerce

Hi there guys on the installation guide there is a database table prefix so you can put a location in the database but i cant seem to see it on 2.2

i already have 2.2 rc1 install on my host's database(no prefix if i remember) but i want to i try another version of oscommerce for testing but DO NOT want to override my current database i was told if i use prefix it will create a folder which the test oscommerces can use.

 

any one help me out on this pls?

You can't try it out. Someone had the bright idea (a long time ago) of changing the Knowledge Base for MS2, which is the current version, to show the Knowledge Base for MS3, which hasn't been released yet.

oh really. What a shame, it means you must use ur database solely for oscommerce. I had all the files upload to site :(
