CIAWoman Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 I get this error when I try to create a new account, both from links "Create a New Account" and log-in/create a new account "Continue". Is there away to correct this error? ♥Vger Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 This sounds like the bug known as "I enabled SSL without having an SSL Certificate" :D Set enable_ssl to false in both configure.php files. Vger

Vger Thanks for the quick reply, Vger...... Just looked at both files and they were set at "false". Nancy I'm not in anyway a spy, but if I were, I'd be Cute In Anything.
CIAWoman Posted December 15, 2007 Author Posted December 15, 2007 Could it be that I lost something in the uploading using Dreamweaver? I think I read somewhere not to upload using Dreamweaver. Nancy I'm not in anyway a spy, but if I were, I'd be Cute In Anything.
♥Vger Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 Dreamweaver's FTP client is unstable. Generally it tends to work if you upload one or two files at a time but if you upload a large number of files then some of them get corrupted. I recommended you either use FileZilla, or Fire FTP (add-on to the Firefox browser, good for PC and Mac), or the best, which is WS FTP (Home or Pro) but you have to pay for this one - after the 30 day trial period. Don't overwrite the two configure.php files. Vger

Again Thanks, Nancy I'm not in anyway a spy, but if I were, I'd be Cute In Anything.
CIAWoman Posted December 15, 2007 Author Posted December 15, 2007 Vger....... Thanks for all the help.... I downloaded a .zip file of my site and loaded it in Beyond Compare and then took the original osc files and did a file comparison. The only differences that showed up were the text I replaced in some of the files and the original pictures that I replaced. All the functional files where identical. Since I purchased this template two weeks ago and spent most of the time dressing up the site to met our needs and getting the inventory ready and loaded.... I didn't have time to go through all the facets of the site. I'm taking the problem with Template.com and having them correct it. Thanks again and have a joyous Christmas to you and you families...... Nancy I'm not in anyway a spy, but if I were, I'd be Cute In Anything.
