The e-commerce.

Changed Servers... now what?

I have recently changed platforms with ipowerweb which has caused my osCommerce site to go haywire...

The original URL was: https://host385.ipowerweb.com/~indyprop/osCommerce/catalog/

The new URL is: http://indyprops.com/osCommerce/catalog/

The problem is that although the new URL is working, all the links still point to the original server (at host385.ipowerweb.com)... which is currently experiencing some 1226 errors.

So, how do I fix it so my entire osCommerce shop is transfered (links and all) to the new server?

I've got someone at ipowerweb working on it, but this seems like something I should be able to fix within osCommerce.

Thanks,

Indy

The config files take care of file paths - hopefully you have a database on your new site as well..

Check out these two pages:

catalog/includes/configure.php

and

catalog/admin/includes/configure.php

Database passwords and host address are taken care of by these files:

catalog/includes/local/configure.php

and

catalog/admin/includes/local/configure.php

you need to edit your configure.php gifiles.

catalog-->includes-->configure.php

catalog-->admin-->includes-->configure.php

change the URLs to whatever your new hosting is. if im not clear enough search your error, tons of posts about this topic.

Weather you think you can, or you think you can't. Your right.
