chap
Another thought just passed while I was going crazy trying to change the look of another OSC store. How about releasing future OSCs with out a template system? Just a bunch of php files to be included into your own pages..or something a bit more complex. Like providing us a"blank" page that has all the security, header, footer - stuff; but allow a blank area for us to enter our own html/php/what-nots. We will include such things as the shopping cart box, menu box... where we wish inside our own html/php/what-nots. Right, this will make it not immediately usable out of the box, but (BUT), I think (THINK) many would like something (SOMETHING) like this. Love OSC, and everyone involved in it (developers, contributers...etc) Next time I won't order a cup of joe called "Rocket Fuel"... Chap Eagerly awaiting 2.

mattice
This is your wake-up call.... osCommerce does NOT use a template system. It just presents header, leftboxes, content, rightboxes and footer on every page. So if you do not like that change it. It is basically one big table.... The boxes come from a class that formats them. If you do not like that just edit the actual boxes to display whatever but not through that class. All the color/font/background settings come from the stylesheet. :D "Politics is the art of preventing people from taking part in affairs which properly concern them"
mattice
oh... and if you need a page skeleton just take shipping.php or privacy.php... they do not come cleaner then that. chap
Yeah, maybe I should ahve said formatting instead of template. I wasn't really thinking. The html in the classes are a bit of a hassle to play around with, at least for me. And there's alot of html repetition in all the pages. Maybe a template system would be good.
