stable versions of apache, mysql and php for oscommerce

I made an oscommerce store using xampp for apache, mysql and php. Now I want to install these three seperately for my new oscommerce project. But I am finding it difficult to make them communicate. What are the best stable versions of mysql, php and apache which can work with oscommerce. Thanks

As far as I am aware osCommerce is not version dependant. If you use mysql 5 then ther are several contributions listing the code changes required for this version.

 

Xampp has php 5 and 4 and you can switch between versions but xampp 1.5.1 for windows gives a fine test bed.
