Database not updated enough?

I put in the correct info.

 

It says

 

There was a problem connecting to the database server. The following error had occured:

 

Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client

 

Please verify the connection parameters and try again.

 

 

 

I'm running MySQL 5.0

 

 

any ideas what I can do? Thanks a ton!
