Well I get to stage 4 of the installation and I get a stack of errors that look like this....and I cannot log in to configure catalog or get into admin... Any idea's on where I'm going wrong here??
nimz Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Just a simple search on google gives this: Warning: mysql_select_db(): Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061) this seems to be a firewall issue or something similar where the requierd port to connect to database is not open this would be something that you might wanna discuss with your host Supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource Generally, there are two possible causes for this error. MySQL is down or it has run out of database connections. If it is the former, there is little you can do about it apart from contact your Host/server admin. thisis indeed a mysql problem and not oscommerce. Santa's little freelancer

Unfortunately I'm spending the holidays in Prince Albert Saskatchewan....-30 to -40.... :'( Do you do freelance work of this nature by chance? I was hoping osCommerce would be a simple "out of the box" solution to online sales for me...but looking at the manual kind of freaks me out a bit
