yais Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Hi I am new to oscommerce and i might sound a bit ignorant so help me out please. :-" I have just installed oscommerce and am starting a shop for archectual ironmongary (door handles, locks, letterplates etc.). The problem I am having is that i can't find how to put the relevant information on the product description. For example I am listing a handle on it but it is available in different finishes and sizes. I can't find how to list the handle giving the option for different finishes and sizes of the same handle to be added to the basket. To show what i mean here is my product on my oscommerce site: http://www.decorativehandles.co.uk/product...products_id=159 here is the same product on a different website. i need it laid out the same way: http://t-carry.co.uk/productDetails.php?pr...pcatId=Tnc9PQ== PS: because my site is under construction i have renamed the index.php to index2.php
Guest Posted December 9, 2007 Posted December 9, 2007 Have a look at the product attributes in admin.
yais Posted December 9, 2007 Author Posted December 9, 2007 I have tried to use the product attributes from the admin cp but that still doesn't allow me to properly edit the information or allow different prices for different finishes and sizes. Any ideas on how to sort this out best. will i need to edit the php files? really appreciate any help thanks

Everything that does not match is a new product with its own attributes.
yais Posted December 9, 2007 Author Posted December 9, 2007 the attributes are shown as an optional addon in a drop-down coloumn under the product description. i have tried it with this product: http://www.decorativehandles.co.uk/product...products_id=159 As you can see it just shows available options at the bottom for the different finishes. I need it to be displayed in the table with the option of adding it to the basket as shown in this site: http://t-carry.co.uk/productDetails.php?pr...pcatId=Tnc9PQ==
yais Posted December 9, 2007 Author Posted December 9, 2007 can some please help me with this because i need it done urgently. thanks in advance
