Orders not showing?

Hi when someone places an order it does not send me email or show it admin any more anyone know why?

I have the same problem of the emails not going out on new orders. No one has responded with any answers yet to my post asking for help on this.

:angry: Tell me about it, We have the exact same problem, I dont even know if its worth posting question here as you guys cant get a reply :angry: Currently I am totally lost as to what I should do, I have looked through the forums and all I can get are topics that never answer definatively what the problem and solution are.

Hey this is a voluntary forum. It is up to the individual what they respond to even if they know the answer.

 

Can you send any emails from admin > tools > send email?

 

No - Check your email configuration in the admin area probably not configured correctly.

 

Yes - Do a new user get emails sent when they register? Open a test account to see.

 

Yes - Check the email addresses in Admin > Configuration > My Store

 

and so on

I know Geoffrey, I am just very frustrated with it an there is probably a simple enough solution to it but I can't see it,

I am able to send emails as you suggest, when you say check the emails in the admin, I only see 3 lines where emails can be added namely:

E-Mail Address which is set to "[email protected]

E-Mail From which is set to osCommerce <root@localhost>

Send Extra Order Emails To which is set to [email protected]

 

I just dont see how these can influence some orders not appearing in the orders list , I did do a comprehensive search yesterdays and one solution was to install a newer paypal ipn (as that is what i use)

 

still lost ;o(

If you use paypal the original is a bit flaky and the paypal ipn contributions fixes the order not appearing problem.
