Set a default manufacturer

I would like to set one of the manufacturers in my shop as default manufacturer

 

how can i do it?

well in db set the default value for manufacture ID the one that You want as default.

else need to modify code.

do you know why i can't modify defalut value in my db? i'm using phpmyadmin.

I set it and save, but going back i find the default cell empty.....
