need help with advise how to stop these symbols to be imputed in the form fields

can any one tell me how to ban these symbols from inputing in my forms. for instance in the contact us page i would like the user not to be able to add them into the telephone number forms and so on

Update to the latest version of osCommerce .. sanitisation has been dealt with in the core code.

there must be a bug then. i think i have updated with those patches but if i try to add these symbols to the Quick Search it responds but if i use the advanced search does not. obviously in the quick search it has not been addressed
