Salvo Posted December 3, 2002 Posted December 3, 2002 Hi all, Surfing the web for ideas, I saw a site that has a box in which would store the last 5 search done my the user... my question: can this be done with OSc? Question 1 - - Have a box in which to store the last 5 search done by the user? Questin 2 - - Have a button in the product_info (like reviews) that clicking would store and show that link in another box (or the same as the search box) for later? These I think that can be done cookies? Thanks for listening and I hope that someone like the idea and help me (if it can be done) to do the above... Salvo
mattice Posted December 3, 2002 Posted December 3, 2002 1) there is a contrib to store searches. All you need is pull the last 5 out of there and drop it in an info box 2) Yes, but that is basically a wishlist. Also in contributions. GD Posted January 4, 2003 Posted January 4, 2003 Hi mattice, All you need is pull the last 5 out of there and drop it in an info box Could you provide the correct code to accomplish this feat? I visited the Online store A**zon.com, which I've found to have this feature, and it looks as it could help in sales. I think theirs' works by creating a cookie to track user searches. I've downloaded and thinking about installing the contribution: Log Search Queries / Resultshttp://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,375/page,5 But... I would like to know how to add a customer's search results from the mods' database at the bottom of the product_info.php page or within a box in the left or right column. Any helpful information is GREATLY appreciated :!: :!: :!: Running osC - 2.2MS2. P.S. Please don't ask for a link to my site, it is on a production server and not available for the general public, yet!
