mohalfares Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Hi, I can't find the search box. I've installed a template that bought from templatemonster.com, and it suddenly removed the search box! I can't find it anywhere around the site! Now what's really strange is that I've checked if the "Search" include option is written in column_left.php, and YES, it was there! So, I've renamed both files, column_left.php and column_right.php to column_left.php.bak and column_right.php.bak, and the site still loads without a problem!! Does that mean the template takes those two files away for some designing reasons? or what? If that would help, the template is this: http://www.templatemonster.com/oscommerce-...lates/9362.html Thanks
♥geoffreywalton Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 Suspect their template does not use column left and right. Check in /catalog/index.php Do you mean where can I add the code to show the search box as the template you bought does not have it on. Guest Posted December 7, 2007 Posted December 7, 2007 Why would this forum be interested in template monster. You bought it from them, ask them.
mohalfares Posted December 7, 2007 Author Posted December 7, 2007 geoffreywalton, Can you gudie me to a documentation or some tutorial of how can I add the search box then? was really silly from the designer to remove it! digilee and Coopco, If I went and asked templatemonster, two things will happen: 1. They won't answer, since that actually don't give such a technical support 2. Even if they did answer, it's better to ask here and share the answer (the knowledge) with other people, other than just keep the answer for myself. Maybe in the future someone will face the same problem I'm facing now, in a way or another, and he will then find the answer easily here It's not about templatemonster, it's about knowledge, and this is what the internet, and espacially the forums, are all about, I assume
