Feedback on french decoration store

We launched our store a month ago.

 

Arche de Soisy

 

We would like to know what you think of it.

 

Any feedback (technical, products, design, tests, etc.) would be a great help. :)

There is something there that could really be quite classy but it's ruined for me by the introduction of some vivid colours.

 

 

e.g.

Left hand top menu

 

the background opposite that menu "Promos de Noël"

 

Some of the products having highly coloured backgrounds.

 

Keep at it but I believe some "white space" would suite the site better.

First, You're right about the left hand menu , maybe I should set these colours to something less vivid....

 

Second, about the background of some of the products, if you're talking about some pink backgrounds, well, you're right too, but the thing is we started the store with a useless e-commerce solution (Wordpress + e-commerce plugin) and with lots of flashy colours in our design. So, in order to fit the design, we took some photos with flashy backgrounds. For now, we don't have the time to retake these pictures to fit our new design and i'm not an expert with photoshop. :'(

Maybe i will take time to learn more about it.
