1046 error

Hi my sites been fine for around 2-3 weeks tonight i've been updating some products and I got the 1046 error

 

 

1046 - No database selected

select configuration_key as cfgKey, configuration_value as cfgValue from configuration

[TEP STOP]

 

 

I get this on both my storefront and admin side i've checked through the old posts and had a look in configure files and no problems there I also saw in the older posts that alot of people had this problem when they changed servers but I've just been updating a few products not messing with code or anything does anyone have any ideas what other causes there could be.

 

I can still access my sites control panel to check files but not to sure what I should be looking at after the above didn't work :(
