I'd appreciate any comments on this store, whether about design or functionality. Feel free to buy something if you like, or use the Credit Card payment option (test card #4111111111111111). I've been working on it for a while, having problems with conflicting contributions and the like. I may add the Purchase Without Account and/or Fast Easy Checkout contribs, as long as they play nice with what already installed. I have a free SSL cert in place basically to go through the installation/configuration process. The store is live but not yet linked to, other than from here:

Just one initial comment - for some reason your box header images are hardcoded to http addresses, so when you switch to https you get a security warning and if you elect to show the images you lose the ssl padlock and if not then you lose all those images.

Get ride of the osCommerce statement in the footer, should look a little more professional.

Thanks

You mean the"Powered by osCommerce" bit? That must remain insitu for feedback to be given. Having it there doesn't make the store any less professional looking.

Thanks for the comments so far.

Vger, I changed the URL for the header background image (in the CSS) from absolute to relative. I never saw the warning in the first place, but presumably it's not appearing now?

Anybody care to comment on the functionality and/or design?

Hi

The only problem i see is that there is no way to navigate back to a home page. I love home pages as they are a point of reference to begin my search again. That way i dont feel i have ended up in a loop. I like to eg) click catagory then search all products in that catagory then got back to home page and choose another catagory. On some sites you can get lost in the endless products and sub catagories. I feel, as your site gets more advance and you add more products, this may happen. Add a home page for the customer to take a breath. I like the rest though.

Nice site, no problems detected. Makes me miss Japan.

Being picky, the width seems to be about 10 pixels wider than my screen at 1024 x 768 will display, so I get a horizontal scroll bar. It's not the end of the world, but seems unnecessary.

This is the exact problem I am having!! I just happened to be browsing here but my plan was to eventually search for an answer to this! Thank you very much for posting. This is cool.
