Version of OsCommerce with Template is Older, Having Trouble Updating, Please Help

Hi,

 

I installed OsCommerce using a template from Template Monster but it's not the newest version which I would like to have.

 

Is there a way to update it while keeping the existing template, all my attempts to do so have left me with the newer version but not being able to access the template (ie it reverts to the default layout of the newer version)

 

Is there a way to install the newer version and just add the specific template files from the older version, if so what files and folders from the older template do I need to copy over.

 

I'd really appreciate any help.

You have to merge the files to make sure it works correctly. Not a simple job, even for someone with the experience of making such changes.
