Guest Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Hi Guys Wonder if you can help. My brain is exploding with this one! I have just installed the PayPal Pro module as per oS Commerce instructions. I had trouble understanding how to run the mysql -u oscommerce -p oscommerce < paypal_wpp.sql and mysql -u oscommerce -p oscommerce < pwa.sql scripts. (oscommerce parts have been substituted for correct database user and database name in the actual live files). After advice, I ran them in phpMyAdmin and they appeared to run. I have installed 'PayPal Websites Payments Pro UK’ module in the Admin screen and: - Enable this Payment Module - Enable Direct Payment - Selected Debug Mode - Selected Live Mode - Entered correct Vendor name - Left User BLANK - Entered correct Password - Left Proxy Address BLANK - Not enabled Express Checkout: Confirmed Address - Not enabled Express Checkout: Display Payment Page - Enabled Express Checkout: Automatic Account Creation When trying to checkout a transaction It fails displaying the following error: “An error occured when we tried to contact PayPal's servers. User authentication failed” The error received by email shows the following: In function: ec_step1() Value List: CURRENCY=GBP&LOCALECODE=US&ACTION=S&AMT=72.01&RETURNURL=http://www.xxxxxxxx.co.uk/shop/ec_process.php&CANCELURL[57]=http://www.xxxxxxxx.co.uk/shop/shopping_cart.php?ec_cancel=1&TENDER=P&TRXTYPE=S&PARTNER=PayPalUK&VENDOR=xxxxxxxxxx&USER=&PWD=xxxxxxxxxx Response: Array ( [RESULT] => 1 [RESPMSG] => User authentication failed ) Obviously I have changed the website, username and password above. Can anyone help me? I am a novice at databases but learning fast  so an explanation in simple laymans English as to what I am doing wrong would be very much appreciated. Thanks Nigel
Guest Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Did you set up in the paypal account user api access so it has your information in there so it can properly connect. Also did you take the contribution out of test mode. Hi Guys Wonder if you can help. My brain is exploding with this one! I have just installed the PayPal Pro module as per oS Commerce instructions. Guest Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Hi Kevin Thanks for replying. Sorry, could you explain User API? I am a novice at this (!). Also, where would I look to take it out of Test Mode. I did set it to Live and not Sandbox testing. I had not enabled or changed anything else. Today I enabled the Standard PayPal module in the Payments section to check if that had any bearing but it has not changed anything. Your help is much appreciated. Nigel
