Hi to you all,

I have a question about OTF... ;)

I installed OTF v2.3b on OSC v2.2rc1 and I must say it works quite well!

There is on the other hand one "minnor" problem I'm still struggling with...

Eventhough the post looks complicated I hope you will take the time to read and try to understand what is happening:

The shops runs under root/osc and my pictures are under root/osc/images.

The manuals says:

"If you have your images categorized into sub-directories within catalog/images/ (and you want your thumbnails to be placed in a separate directory) you also need to:

Create a mirror of those sub-directories in catalog/images/thumbnails/.

Make sure PHP has write-permissions in all thumbnails directories (chmod these to 777)."

And so I did...

Within this directory root/osc/images, I created a sub-directory "my_products" and put my product pictures in it.

In root/osc/images/thumbnails I also created a subdirectory "my_products". When I understand correctly, this is where the thumbnails of the product pictures from root/osc/images/my_products should go to...

What happens is:

When I enter a new product in the admin section, I select a picture from root/osc/images/my_products , so far so good.

When I take a look at my shop all looks ok.

But what is really happening is, the product picture showing when listing the products is comming from root/osc/images and NOT from root/osc/images/my_products ...

OTF makes a copy of the selected image (root/osc/images/my_products) and puts it in root/osc/images , same picture, same name (please believe me, it wasn't there before...).

The thumbnail of this picture ends up in root/osc/images/thumbnails and NOT in root/osc/images/thumbnails/my_products ...

I checked, dubblechecked and reinstalled OTF, all stays the same.

Ofcourse permissions are set to 777.

Can you please help me out because I must be doing something wrong here!

Kind regards,

Arne.
