Multiple install of osc

I have two stores (dir/store1 and dir/store2) and tried to install two different copies of osc to each store directory but somehow one copy had overwritten some files and now both stores do not work any longer. Does anyone know if there is a better way of doing this? Can they really share one log file directory? Should I pay for another web space to separate the two? Thank you.

I am running multiple osc instances on the same web server with no issues whatsoever

if one dir overwrites the other one doesn't make both of them none functional!

it might have been a simple case of user error rather than the scripts interfering with each other.

Thank you for your reply. Did you just create two separate directory (ex. store1 and store2) and install the catalog folder to each directory and then did the install?

Did you set up 2 different databases for the 2 stores?
