sdavison Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 HELP!! Okay, when a customer places as order, I get the PayPal payment confirmation showing the total and the shipping amount. However, I am not getting an OSC order confirmation email telling me exactly what was ordered, nor does the order show up in the Order section of the Customer tab. When I search all ordres, I see nothing. When I try a test purchase on myself (order the cheapest item and ship to myself to test the system all the way thru), I DO get the itemized order confirmation email, including the extra one that I send to myself as the administrator - so I get two emails, one as the customer, and one as the store owner. But if a normal customer places an order, I get no confirmation email as the store owner. Luckily I have been able to do the math and remove the shipping cost to determine what has been ordered. But I have to send another confirmation email manually to confirm with the customer. Not Good!! The problem has to be in my OSC settings. But I can not figure it out. HELP!! Thanks!

sdavison Posted December 3, 2007 Author Posted December 3, 2007 I went to the PayPal website and changed my Website Payment Preferences to do Auto Return, but it isn't working. PayPal continues to not re-direct customers back to my site automatically. I'll take a look at the IPN feature. In the meantime, I just hardcoded a message on my payment page asking them to confirm their order by hitting the "Return to Site" button after PayPal processes their payment - some do, some don't. Ugh .... *** From the PayPal site *** Website Payment Preferences Auto Return for Website Payments Auto Return for Website Payments brings your buyers back to your website immediately after payment completion. Auto Return applies to PayPal Website Payments, including Buy Now, Donations, Subscriptions, and Shopping Cart. Learn More Auto Return: On Off *** Thanks!
♥14steve14 Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Did you specify a return URl, so paypal knows where to send customers back to. REMEMBER BACKUP, BACKUP AND BACKUP
