webarton Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Hello, I set up 'Purchase Without Account' and it's working all right. But I'd like to change one part. When customers want to check out, whether they create account or just go straight to the checkout process, they go as following; 1. Account Information page --------put customer information 2. Delivery Information shipping address page --------shipping address could be changed via 'Change address' button 3. Delivery Information shipping address page --------billing address could be changed via 'Change address' button 4. Order Confirmation If customer create account and want to change the billing address in step3, they click 'change address' button and it links to the page for the new billing address. But if customer go straight to the checkout process and want to change the billing address in step3, they click 'change address' button and they go to step1. And the next step is step2, 'shipping address' page. It seems a little stressful and confusing for customers because they didn't change the shipping address but the shipping address page is shown after they changed their billing address. If customer go straight to the checkout process and want to change the shipping address in step2, the process is working all right. The link goes to the new shipping address page. So, I'd like to change the process after 'change address' button in billing address page is clicked. But I'm not sure how I can change. Could anyone give me some advice? Thanks Quote

webarton Posted December 2, 2007 Author Posted December 2, 2007 If a customer chooses to not create an account, why would they need to change the billing address? Thanks for your reply, Coopco. Sometimes a customer simply makes a mistake to set billing address at first, but wants to change in the middle of process. I'd like to avoid confusing the customer in such case. Quote

webarton Posted December 6, 2007 Author Posted December 6, 2007 Well, it is very hard to write code for human error and not have the consequences of inconvenience. I really do not think that it is a problem. But I think shoppers would be confused if their shipping address appears soon after they change their billing address. I know basically shoppers would be the person who will pay but when shoppers log in, they have the shipping address page and a billing address page. I think it's more shopper friendly if the procedure for shoppers who check out without account would be in the same process. Quote
