To be included in the sitemaps the file must contain an HTML <head> tag in the primary file and include a line starting with define('HEADING_TITLE in the corresponding language file. I'm just trying to understand your instructions a little better: I have HTML files in the root of my site (16 to be exact) and all the PHP files are in a directory of course named /catalog/ all my HTML files do have a <head></head>tag and they all have different <title></title> Tags. What do you mean by primary file? (the root?) define('HEADING_TITLE would I but the exsiting page titles to all HTML files here and I assume it would go in catalog/includes/languages/english.php Also I get this error when I attempt Click submit button to create new XML sitemaps and notify Google.
