Changing password in admin section

Hey everyone

 

I have 2 sites , one when you log into the admin section, and click on configuration, you see a link called administrators, from there Im able to change admin password( version osCommerce Online Merchant v2.2 RC1)...on my other site, it does not have this feature? this site is running the osCommerce 2.2-MS2 version ..what do I do ..any ideas ?

I have osCommerece 2.2 MS2 also, did a new install through FTP, not what my hosting provider had for me cause of the template that I wanted....if you have cPanal you need to find the "Password protect directories" icon, click it, then follow the instructions with in it. Make sure you read the instructions carefully, I almost messed up and forgot what my password that I had set, easy fix though through there. make sure when you enter somthing for the Protected Resource Name (will display in browser's password mask):, you name this just about anything you want other than your username and password, this will show on the log-in pop-up so make sure this is set to something like 1 2 3 or your website name. You can also go back to this and change the password as needed when you feel like it, along with the user name also.

 

I hope this helps some, if you don't have cPanel, I have no clue.
