romanticgifts Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 I was trying to add information into the information box...Shipping and Returns, Privacy Notice, Conditions of use and Contact us. I don't know where to go to enter this information, I have tried going through each thing under everything in my admin. :'( Please help, not to familiar with website building and such. germ Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 Click me And I wouldn't use the osC File Manger to edit files on your site. If you have an older version it will screw up PHP files quicker than greased lightning... If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you. romanticgifts Posted December 2, 2007 Author Posted December 2, 2007 THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! But, like I said I am new to all of this, what do you mean by not using the Files manager?? As far as adding products and such?? Sorry, I am confused now.
germ Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 I just wouldn't trust the osC file Manager when it comes to making changes (edits) to any files on your site. If I were you, I'd become familiar with the File Manager within the Control Panel provided by your Web Host (NOT OSC!), or familiarize yourself with transferring files to your local PC and using a text editor (such as Notepad or Wordpad, NOT WORD!) then putting the edited versions back on the website. It's ALWAYS a VERY GOOD IDEA to make a backup of any file BEFORE you make changes. A file that doesn't work quite like you want it to is better than one that won't work at all. I've been down that road more than once.... If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
