Hi All,

I have a win 2003 server sat here which I would like to run up IIS on and setup an osCommerce test site on, what do I need in terms of PHP and MySQL in order to make this work?

I would also like this to be a cost effective solution, ideally free!

Thanks in advance,

Peter.

after u got ur server installed.

u need the latest version of php from here:

http://www.php.net/downloads.php

latest version of mysql from here:

http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/

both are free. run a search in google for a guide on how to install them. there are plenty

install them and you can run a local oscommerce as yout rest site.

alternatively you can get a hosting package for a decent and fair price which comes with all of that installed and you can run your test site on it.

let me know if you need help with that.

Good luck

If all you want to do is experiment with OSC locally then for a quick solution use xampp which has everything you need bundled in one package, no need to install a server work though installing apache mysql and php and configuring the php.ini file and all the other bits and hassle that goes with that.

Get it from here http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html and you be up and running very quickly
