Site Admin Fatal Error

The following message appeared after login yesterday:

 

*Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /clientdata/clients/b/a/bargainbox.com.au/www/admin/index.php on line 297*

 

I had made changes to includes/languages/english (this seems to be my home page tho' I had expected it to be called index !?!?) and reverted back to a saved former version, so am stumped by this and would be grateful for any direction.

 

The error message only prevented the centred list of admin regions to display, (Customers, Reports, Catalogue....etc) while the links around the edges of page are still functional, so I can still get in to add products and etc.........but am concerned I have done something and would like assistance please.

 

Line 297 of admin/index.php reads:

 

<td class="pageHeading" align="left"><?php echo HEADING_TITLE; ?></td>

 

My best guess is that something is not pointing at the correct place..........the "member function on a non-object" sounds terminal, the only ref on that line, is to the Heading Title, so am I getting warmer ?
