trampolinex Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 I would like to import 7,000 products into the OS Commerce site I have set up, we have a database (SQL) of the products and information about stocking, price etc even pictures so would like to import this data, how would we go about this ?
Jack_mcs Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Assuming the information you have is not setup as oscommerce tables, you would need to install the Easy Populate contribution (version 2.7 by surfalot), enter your products (can be copied by columns if in an excel file) and upload them. Guest Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 I have about 5400 items I manage and use a 3rd party tool, Navicat to import into the tables. It wasn't too expensive and has saved me loads of time and is super easy to do updates to the records for price changes and quantities. I linked it to my accounting system and do a file comparison to update everything. Good luck! Joanne
