Only first letter of country displayed

Although the full and correct country names appear everywhere else they're supposed to, when a customer views the details of an order (which calls "account_history_info.php"), only the first letter of the country name is displayed for both the Billing Address and the Delivery Address.

 

I've looked all over, including in "includes/classes/order.php" where the addresses seem to be formed, and can't understand what's causing this. Any ideas?
