Cant sign in or add to cart

As the title says, I am still having problems when I enable 'Force Cookie Use' using my private SSL and dedicated IP.

 

config.php files are correct.

certificate is installed correctly

 

turning 'Force Cookie Use' off allows signing in and adding to basket but if you go out of the secure area the basket emptys.

 

starting to annoy me now.

 

I would very much appreciate some pointers or advise on this issue.

For "Force Cookie Use" to work the http and https_cookie_domain setting must match up.

 

So if your ssl cert is made out to www.yourdomain.com then that's your http and https_cookie_domain settings.

 

If your ssl cert is made out just to yourdomain.com then yourdomain.com is your http and https_cookie_domain setting.

 

Either way there's no http:// or https:// in the cookie_domain settings (it's a domain setting and not a url).

Many thanks Vger, that sorted it.

 

I had them set with http and https.

 

Took out the http/s and now it seems to work fine.
