thunderquack Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 So here is my crazy osCommerce problem (unknown version) of unintentional osCommerce Shopping Cart items and User Account Swapping. I put something in my osCommerce shopping cart on Computer A, then Create an account and log in(as though I am about to check out). Then using another computer , lets call Computer B that is on the same network which use the same external ip address(does not work if on different networks!), I put something in my shopping cart and then I create another account. After I refresh what's in my shopping cart on Computer B (or just continue browsing), it then switches my account! By this I mean all the items that were in the shopping cart of Computer A have now been swapped to Computer B. This includes the username so I am actually logged in as the user from Computer A. What's weird is that this problem does not occur if the same computer but different web browsers are used (even if I use different browsers such as Mozilla and IE). What I'm not also not sure of is that does this problem occur because we are all using the same external ip address(not a 192 dot address), the same server provider, or something completely else. I actually don't know my osCommerce version because the idiot that built my website did a find and replace of everywhere it says osCommerce to his company's name (i took him to court over this and other money he stole from me). I know it is osCommerce for sure because I remember seeing the code before he did the find and replace on the entire website code. Any Ideas on how to fix it regardless of the cause? Really desperate/worried/paranoid ...
