Variables in product fields

Hi,

 

I have certain products that have redundant text in the product description. Rather than retype this in every product description, I would like to reference a variable in the product description field, so that if I ever have to change the text, it will be globally changed for every product that uses this variable. Not all products have this redundant text, but many do, so I can't make a global change in the product_info.php file. Can someone tell me how I can make a reference to a variable in the product description field of a product? Your help is greatly appreciated.
