Dollars off promo code?

Hi:

 

We'd like to send a dollars-off promo code for our previous customers.

 

$5.00 off for any purchase over $50.00.

 

We'd like to have that in our cart at checkout ... the ability to enter this code to get the savings.

 

Anybody know how to do that?
