Quick Find and Language flags images missing

Hi all, I've installed OScommerce 2.2 RC1 and everything is working fine except for the Flags images on the right side that are not showing up, all I get is a red cross like if the image file is missing, however the gif exists and the page properties shows its pointing to the right directory... have the same problem with the QuickFind button on the left side pane ... any ideas?
