infinate Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 OK, i am installing osc through public_html in an ftp. I know to upload the catalog only but, when i point to my browser to do the install, I do not get the welcome screen that shows in the installation instructions. Is this a different kind of install or do I need an older version before installing the most recent downloadable version. Please help.
spax Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 The latest RC1 installation screen is different to previous versions but an obvious installation screen nonetheless. What are you seeing?

spax Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Yep, hit the print screen button on your keyboard and paste into your graphics editor. MS Paint will do, if you have nothing else. Then upload it to your web site or Photo Bucket or similar and post a link to it.

If I understand the instructions correctly that are posted in osc documentation, this is suppose to be just the preinstallation. Also, if you notice the error at the top of the last page, I now seem to have a database error which I created the database like I did during the other installs I did and never got this before. This is telling me I dont have a database, but I do.
spax Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 So you can't click on and access the catalog, the admin or neither?
infinate Posted November 25, 2007 Author Posted November 25, 2007 So you can't click on and access the catalog, the admin or neither? no, i couldnt, but i guess it had to do with my database. I have resolved this problem by just uninstalling and reinstalling. Thank you for you help though. :)
