howgo Posted November 30, 2002 Posted November 30, 2002 Hi, can somebody tell me the way to include a nice forum in osC?` I know there a a few posting about this theme, but there are no useful answer for this. But I know there are many people who just do this, without an Iframe, but how? Thank you for help
Guest Posted November 30, 2002 Posted November 30, 2002 There is a contribution for integrating PHPBB into OSC. http://www.oscommerce.com/downloads.php/co...ions,575/type,3
howgo Posted November 30, 2002 Author Posted November 30, 2002 Thank you Wayne, but this is the solution with iframe, i don?t get it to work fine. There is a second solution too, i?m searching for - it should work better. Andreas
wizardsandwars Posted November 30, 2002 Posted November 30, 2002 I currently use the BB solution mentioned above, though i not extremly happy with it. What I'd really like is for the phpbb and OSC to share customers info, login info, and such. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: As of Oct 2006, I'm not as active in this forum as I used to be, but I still work with osC quite a bit. If you have a question about any of my posts here, your best bet is to contact me though either Email or PM in my profile, and I'll be happy to help.
Guyver Posted December 1, 2002 Posted December 1, 2002 Yep, we'd all love that, but I reckon it would take alot of coding to sync users between these apps. I found it hard enough just trying to put the forum in with OSC without frames. Basically from what I found you can't put any 'php type calls' in with the .tpl system they use in PHPBB, and only being a 'hack/paste'r I just ended up putting my 'header' hardcoded into theirs!... Its a bit rough , but it gave me what I wanted. Feel free to look/browse/post on it. Cheers John www.itsupplies.net
