travellikesound Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Sorry if this has been discussed before. I searched but was unable to locate what I was looking for. Also, sorry if this is in a wrong category. I'm new to this. I'm uploading a few hundred products - all very similar (printed baby and childrens shirts). All will have very similar attributes/variables: small/medium/large, 0-3 months/3-6 months/6-12 months, etc. The way I've been uploading them so far is to add them into the categories/product section to go to the product attributes section and manual select the different options. It's really hard to tell which ones I've done already and after selecting each option the page reloads and i lose my place. Then the attributes are out of order. There has got to be an easier/more effective way of doing this. Maybe some method of creating attributes when i orinigally add a product or something as well as some way of making sort of a template for the attributes I use frequently. I feel like I've been spending way more time on this than is necessary. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
travellikesound Posted November 20, 2007 Author Posted November 20, 2007 Oh, and one more question: Is there any way to give each attribute of a product a different stock quantity? I'd like to be able to keep track of how many of each size/color are in stock rather than just giving a general quantity number to the entire product.

I'd like to be able to keep track of how many of each size/color are in stock rather than just giving a general quantity number to the entire product. I'm not sure about the "stock" issues yor're asking about, but the AJAX Attributes Manager contrib streamlines the whole process of adding attributes and has a feature that allows you to save attribute "sets" that you use more frequently. travellikesound Posted November 22, 2007 Author Posted November 22, 2007 How do i do that? Or does any one else have any ideas? Could I just put a piece of code in each product for the different attributes? I tried just pasting the code for the drop down menu for one I'd set up in a different product, but that didn't work. Is there some other way i can do this?
