Guest Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Hi I have a friend that would like to sell signs over the Internet, and we are looking for a system like osCommerce to help us. The problem is that we would like a text field for each product (sign) so the customer can type in the text he/she whant on the sign. Is there a way to do this? Best Regrads Anders Nielsen
lindsayanng Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 I believe there is. Someone correct me if i am wrong.. After you add a product, you can then customize product attributes which gives the option for adding a TEXT field as an attribute. Then the attribute that the person picks comes up on your orders so that you can see exactly what they want. If that doesn't work, there is always the comment box at the end of the check out. When someone check out of their shopping cart, you can instruct them to put the product name and the text that they want on that particular sign in the comment field (the comment field is standard oscommerce) If you go to my site, you will see that i have a drop down attribute box on one of my products.. product Attribute example A great place for newbies to start Road Map to oscommerce File Structure DO NOT PM ME FOR HELP.
