Chnage PHP file without losing data

Dear all,

 

I have a problem: I have a original index.php file which contains the total layout my webshop. After installing Search Engine Friendly URL's I had to upload a new index.php file. This file doesn't have the layout codes within it so the site itself works, only the layout is a total mess.

 

I thougt maybe there is a program which can combine those two files into one file adding the appriopriate codes to one another. Please help me because I cannot use SEF url right know!

If you have both versions of the index.php file, you could try Beyond Compare from scooter software. (Since I'm not certain I can put up their web's url, you'll just have to use Google.) BC lets you merge two different files into one.

There are quite a few compare programs. Most require a fee but Winmerge works well and is free.
