LitlbitWraps Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 I have read tons of posts but none seem to fit my situation. I have no product groups on my admin area. I have a product section and in it it has: Product Options Option Value Product attributes. I know that the value is what you set to give it a price - if needed I put in the product option and can add it to the attributes but cannot figure how to add items to the option so they drop down on my store. Right now, they each show seperate things. I am looking to add sizes So the option would be size and drop down would show the SM, Med, Lg.... Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong. thanks
Jack_mcs Posted November 18, 2007 Posted November 18, 2007 Let's say you want to create an attribute for some socks you sell that offers the selection of color in blue, green and red. The Product Options would be that color group. You can name it whatever you want. Let's call it "Available Colors." The Option Values are the items in that group. You need to create one for each choice. So you would create three entries named, blue, green and red. When you create those, you have to select the Product Options you want them to belong to so you would choose Available Colors. Up to this point, nothing has changed on the shop. That is where the Product attributes comes in. You select the product you want the colors to be available for, select the Products Options from the dropdown in the Product attributes section, and then the Options Values in that section. Enter a price, if you want to charge for each color and save it. Then you need to do that twice more for the other colors. You should now have a dropdown named Available Colors on the product page for the product you selected. When you click on it, it should offer the choice of blue, green and red.
